An Oregon coast romantic getaway is one of the best excursions I have ever experienced.  One May when my boyfriend and I were first dating we went to the beach together.  Since our relationship was so young, we stayed only for the day and thus did not check out the Oregon coast romantic hotels.  It was a beautiful day when we drove a few hours through the woods of Oregon to Lincoln City.  Upon our arrival drove through the quaint little town, and stopped at a tiny art gallery featuring the work of local artists.  The woman working the front desk was very friendly, and we enjoyed talking to her for awhile about art and music and her life in Lincoln City. 

After stopping at the grocery store for picnic food we continued to the Beach.  Because it was a week day, we had the place to ourselves!  As we snacked on grapes and fresh bread with cheese we squinted through the blinding sunshine to watch the seagulls sail on the wind, which also whipped against our faces and tossed our hair about, and tickled our toes in the sand. The seagulls screamed with delight, the waves crashed symphonically.  The smell of the salt refreshed us (we needed a break from preparing for finals!).  I wished I had brought a kite a long–an Oregon coast romantic getaway is the perfect occasion for kite-flying.  But we were happy to run and splash through the freezing cold water, to spin and dance and fall on the sand, and to take photos of everything.  Unfortunately we lost the camera, but the memory remains strong and I will always cherish our first Oregon coast romantic getaway.  Next time, we will explore the Oregon coast romantic hotels too.
